International Polo Player who represented England in World & European Cups and winner of his class in the 2013 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, Bobby dreamt up IGO whilst spending 48 days in a little boat rowing two hours on and two hours off with 3 friends.
Ben joined the team in 2018 to take on the sales and marketing mantle. Having previously worked in the yacht and ski world, travel is in his blood. A self-confessed “fraud” of the office, he holds no world records nor can he claim any dazzling achievements the likes of which his colleagues have in abundance, but he does make a lovely brew.
An extreme weather enthusiast, preferably high winds. Happiest when water and a horizon is in sight. Not holding any IGO office records (yet!) but has been recorded participating in The Head of the River Rowing Race and is a #1 spectator, supporter and all round motivator.
A big lover of the outdoors, John is often seen escaping the city whenever possible to go on adventures around the UK. Predominantly from a sporting events background, he joins the team to support the marketing team at IGO.
George is a world record-breaking explorer, endurance athlete and motivational speaker. To date he has covered more than 2,000 miles on in the polar regions, including the world’s longest fully supported polar journey, crossed the North Atlantic Ocean in a kayak.
Ben, a restauranteur and entrepreneur, is currently based in Charleston, South Carolina. His previous projects include The Fat Radish, Ruschmeyers, The Leadbelly and The East Pole in NYC.
After 20 years as a distinguished Army Officer with the Gurkhas, with whom he served in the likes of Bosnia, the Falklands, East Timor, Iraq and West Africa, Johnny returned to his first love: photography. He now travels the world photographing for clients including the British Exploring Society, Coca Cola, Buckingham Palace, Private Banks, and some of the most elite private security companies in the world.
Derek likes nothing better than doing something adventurous in remote parts of the world. He is an American trained Emergency Physician and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Over the past 15 years, he has provided field medical support to numerous organizations including the U.S. Army, Subaru Primal Quest, and British Exploring Society.
Lucy is IGO’s multi-disciplined freelance designer. Having spent 4 years at Parsons School of Design she has gone on to help shape and create visual messaging for the likes of Mario Testino, Wednesday Agency and Jo Malone.
