You like to take it slow with a few breaks and happy being on your feet for 2-3 hours a day for 1-2 days. You probably don't have all the kit, require outdoors advice and looking to try an activity for the first time.
THE ADVENTURE
Feed your soul and break out of lockdown into a coastal adventure this June. Running over 3 days, you'll be experiencing the best of the Pembrokeshire coastline from land, sea and food. Activities range from sunrise stretches overlooking the ocean, to higher tempo coasteering sections.
All with great locally sourced food and a warm bed to come back too!
Friday
After checking in to your accommodation and some coffee and Welsh cakes, your adventures starts with a foraging experience along the shores of nearby coves.
Led by local chefs that are experts in coastal foraging, they'll walk you through the amazing ranges of ingredients found in the wild, as well as how to harvest them sustainably. These ingredients will then be brought together with other local produce for an ocean to plate feast on the cliffs during the sunset.
Saturday
For the morning larks we'll be heading out onto a quiet peninsular for morning yoga or meditation before returning back to the barns for breakfast with the night owls.
Today is all about getting everyone in the sea for coasteering, kayaking, surfing or a bit of everything! Conditions are really key to the activities on this day so we will publish the exact information closer to the time. Rest assured you'll be guided by the best local experts in each of their disciplines, they know this coastline better than anyone.
A good day in the water deserves an equally good feed so we'll be heading into St. Davids for pizza and beers in the early evening.
Sunday
Another early start Sunday morning to clear the cobwebs from the night before. We'll head around the coastal path to a secluded cove for an early dip and warming coffee.
A hearty brunch will be waiting for you on your return before we depart for our homes.
Cliff Top Dormitory
This will be our base for the adventure, providing comfortable, large beds with clean bathrooms and warm bedding.
Many people who attend IGO Adventures come on their own, and for those people we put together in shared single sex dorm rooms. Each room has large single beds, with shared bathrooms. This is not like your average hostel, some even have underfloor heating!
For those coming as a group, we have a number of 6 and 8 bed rooms available for you to take to yourselves.
Coastal Adventure
We're going to spend the day discovering the beautiful beaches, hidden coves and secret caves that make up the St. Davids peninsula. We'll be sit-on-top kayaking, coasteering, snorkelling and might even try our hands at fishing.
The sit-on-top sea kayak is a user-friendly craft, easy to control and very stable, designed for gentle exploration and suitable for all ages and abilities. The open cockpit allows you to work on your tan while the changing vista of caves, bays, beaches and headlands unfolds before you.
It's the best way to explore the coastline and there’s no strict timetable, so we can stop wherever and whenever we want!
Sundown Supper
Two local chefs will be cooking up a very special and unique barbecue, including some of the wild ingredients we found earlier in the afternoon.
This will be a time to relax and get to know others in the group, while enjoying the food and the fire.
