THE ADVENTURE
Explore the best of the Scottish Highlands in this 3-day active adventure. Summit Ben Nevis, the highest point in the British Isles. Explore the calm waters of Loch Ness via a canoe trip from the historic Fort Augustus to Dores. Staying in comfortable pub accommodation, you'll have plenty of time to relax and share stories from the day's adventures with your fellow explorers.
Unfortunately, there is a large number of people who litter the trails on Ben Nevis every year. On our route back down the mountain on the more visited trail, we will support the efforts of the National Trust by taking a bin liner and picking up any rubbish we see as we head down. We'll continue these efforts on the beaches of Loch Ness as well.
Summit Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in the British Isles, and canoe Loch Ness.

Day 1 - Arrival
You will be collected from the airport at 19:30 outside Tesco Metro, Tomnahurich Street, Inverness and shuttled to the Loch Ness Inn at Drumnadrochit where you can settle in to your room.
Meals Included: None.
Activities: Briefing instructors will run a quick intro/briefing session for the weekend ahead.
Accommodation: The Loch Ness Inn, a traditional Scottish inn built in 1838, offering accommodation with a contemporary feel – subtle colours have been used throughout to create a warm and relaxing mood to complement the age and style of the building. Original artwork by renowned Scottish artist, Dot Walker, can be found in the restaurant and bar as well as in the individually designed bedrooms.
Day 2 - Summit Ben Nevis
We plan to ascend Corie Leis, below the north face of the Ben, giving you a view of the mountain that no-one sees from the tourist route. You will then ascend towards a cairn below the summit of Ben Nevis. This route gives walkers a sense of the scale of the mountain.
Distance: 12km up to 1,345m (6hrs)
Day 3 - Canoe the length of Loch Ness
Starting from picturesque Fort Augustus and the southern end of the loch, we will paddle north along the eastern shoreline to Dores at the northern end. We will aim to build in some short breaks along the way with a longer break somewhere like Foyers or Inverfarigaig for a lunch stop.
Transfers will take people from Dores back to Inverness Airport in the evening.
Distance: 34km (8 hours)
Meals: Due to an early start a quick breakfast & packed lunch on the banks of Loch Ness (sandwiches/wraps, energy bars, crisps and we can take hot flasks for hot drinks/cuppa soups)
