Norway is the location for the British Special Forces cold weather training and where Scott of the Antarctic trained for his famous Terra Nova Expedition, this is a land synonymous with adventure and home to the Heroes of Telemark Raid.

Rune knows the mountains of Norway inside out, having spent over 20 years leading a range of activities in the region. With a sports and extreme outdoor training degree from Volda University, he now owns and runs Hemsedal Mountaineers. His knowledge of the area and ever-changing conditions make him integral to the smooth running of N60°

Helmut grew up in Germany but has lived in Hemsedal since 2001.Having been a fitness trainer for 24 years, he now specialises in teaching biathlon and XC skiing, happiest when in the snow, mountains or the forest. In 2015 he roller-skied from Lillehammer, Norway to Oberhof, Germany covering 900km in 9 days. A huge supporter of IGO, Helmut believes that ‘even if the body says it cannot go any further, the mind can still go another 70%
